Fourth and Fifth graders took the "practice" test for the Smarter Balanced test that they will take next week. Needless to say there is quite the learning curve for the kiddos since this is a computer based assessment. Initial thoughts on the test from the kids is that they liked the format for the most part. I think several things: our keyboarding skills have to increase drastically and we will have to become better at picking apart our reading to see the "fine" details of the questions asked. After the "big" test next week we will have a better idea of what is involved as this was a 6 question test that took each class an average of 45 minutes to answer. :) Glad to see the weather is finally cooperating with the track gods....
