Happy Friday to all of you!
Next week the 4th and 5th grade students will take the Smarter Balanced Pilot Test. This is the "test" that will eventually take place of the current CRT in the state of Montana! Fairfield is one of 6000 schools nation-wide that will be participating in the Scientific Pilot! Both grades will be tested in ELA (English Language Arts) and we anticipate that this will give us some idea of how the test is constructed and then in turn allow us to make some curriculum decisions along with the data we collect on the students as to what is best for our school!
This is a nerve wracking, exciting, progressive process that will give us a "one up" on other schools and create an understanding of the new common core expectations! Thanks for all your support of Fairfield Schools!
