Each student in our school is given a quick assessment in the following areas: Reading Fluency, Reading Comprehension, Spelling, Math Computation and Math Fluency and this year we will be adding a writing component assessment. From these quick assessments, it is determined if your kiddo will need extra boosts in the form of intervention that are monitored for progress weekly.
As a team we meet every six to eight weeks and assess if the interventions are working via our data collection process. We also determine what happens as a whole in our classrooms as determined by how the kiddos perform on their quick assessments.
We are the only local school that provides such a diagnostic picture of what your child is learning.
