RtI

Fairfield Elementary is a RtI School.

 Each student in our school is given a quick assessment in the following areas:  Reading Fluency, Reading Comprehension, Spelling, Math Computation and Math Fluency and this year we will be adding a writing component assessment.  From these quick assessments, it is determined if your kiddo will need extra boosts in the form of intervention that are monitored for progress weekly. 
As a team we meet every six to eight weeks and assess if the interventions are working via our data collection process. We also determine what happens as a whole in our classrooms as determined by how the kiddos perform on their quick assessments.   
We are the only local school that provides such a diagnostic picture of what your child is learning.

FAIRFIELD ELEMENTARY RTI GUIDELINES

INTENSIVE .
  1. STUDENT WILL BE PLACED IN PROGRESS MONITOR STATUS THROUGH THE RTI PROCESS  IN AIMSWEB.
  2. STUDENTS CORE PROGRAM MAY BE REPLACED WITH INTENSIVE RESEARCHED BASED INSTRUCTION AS DETERMINED BY RtI team WHICH MAY INCLUDE ADDITIONAL TIME, USUALLY DOUBLE DOSING AND ONE ON ONE OR SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION TIME!
  3. STUDENT WILL BE ASSESSED 1 TIME PER WEEK.

TARGETED
  1. STUDENT IN THIS AREA WILL BE PLACED ON PROGRESS MONITOR STATUS IN AIMSWEB. 
  2. PROGRESS WILL BE EVALUATED 2-4 TIMES PER MONTH.
  3. STUDENT WILL RECEIVE CORE INSTRUCTION WITH 15-30 MINUTES SUPPLEMENTAL SUPPORT.
  4. IF NO PROCESS AT NEXT BENCHMARK, SEEK FURTHUR SUPPORTS.
